What makes Naturally Nestled a healthy choice? Our eco-friendly mattresses utilize naturally sourced latex from rubber trees in Sri Lanka. We don’t damage the rubber trees we farm, and we sustainably source about one gallon of natural latex daily from each tree. This natural latex is an organic source for our mattresses and pillows and leaves the environment healthy.
Other brands use latex and memory foam that’s made from petroleum-based oils, which causes significant damage to the environment in its sourcing and manufacturing processes. Our eco-friendly sourcing makes our mattress toppers and products a much healthier option for you and your home.
Responsibly Sourced Material
The natural rubber from the Sri Lankan trees leaks off the trees and can be made into dishware or, in our case, eco-friendly mattress toppers. The collection process is similar to the process of collecting maple syrup from maple trees. Once we collect the natural rubber, we process it into carbon-neutral latex through the only certified carbon-neutral latex factory in the world, Latex Green. We don’t add any fillers or synthetic latex to our final products, keeping them healthy, organic, and environmentally friendly. As mentioned, Latex Green creates our eco-friendly latex. After sourcing the rubber from rubber trees in Sri Lanka, we use the Dunlop Manufacturing Process to turn the rubber “sap” into solid latex. This manufacturing process not only creates organic eco-friendly latex, but the carbon-neutral factory helps the environment as well.
Carbon-neutral factories gain their certification by ensuring that they offset any carbon they produce in their factories through their carbon removal actions. Carbon removal actions help balance carbon levels in the atmosphere and keep the planet healthy.
